My personal 3D storage solutions

All of these 3d printed storage things where designed by me unless otherwise stated.
I've so far used Autodesk Maya exclusively for all my 3D printing needs and designs since I'm just too darn familiar with it. I would love to try some more industrial type CAD tools but they seem to be time inefficient for the type of 'no moving parts' storage solutions I'm designing.

Spool hangers & pliers hangers

I designed and 3d printed each of these different hanger/holders on a whim when I got a little bothered. The wire was just taking up space atop my desk component draws & the pliers never had a certain place to live where I always knew where to find them.

Neither of these solutions are super accessible since they live on the leg of my standing desk, however they're also not particularly inconvenient since they're right there when I need them.

They're attached to the leg of the desk by a bit of Scotch EXTREME Mounting Tape. In fact I designed the spool hangers have the same width as my roll of tape.

MnM Minis tube holder

Small little holders which fit the MnM Mini tubes. There was a brief time where the IGA near my workplace was selling these sweets for $1 each, too good of a deal to pass up on for such a versatile container.

I've no clue how to get rid of the powerful sticker glue residue which is left on the tubes, its rather disgusting lol.

Camera lens adapter from ~72mm to 52mm

Obviously this isn't a storage thing but whatever.
I picked up an old fish eye lens at an op shop for a few dollars several years ago, thus far the only way I had gotten any use out of it was by holding it with one hand and the camera with another. Which sucks.

Anyhow this test was successful enough, I just need to redesign the way that it fits onto the camera since there is very slightly too little clearance to make it attach in a foolproof manner. So far in my tests it hasn't fallen off even when I shake the camera quite violently, but does fall off if I put some sheer force across it with my hand.

Simple speaker holder

I think this was the first storage related item I designed myself. Nothing fancy & it doesn't really have much charm to its visual appeal.

The front two forks have a smooth rounded finish on the side counter to the speaker & the side which holds the speaker conforms exactly to its angles and insets.

Tidy and sorted electronics

I understand this isnt 3D printed, but golly I am proud of how tidy and organised I got some of my more bulky electronics components and wires, even if it was only tidy for a day or two!

I'm pleased with the transparent windows I installed into these simple cardboard boxes. The windows are made from old vinyl record selves.
