My Opa [great grandfather] was an electrical technician from Germany, he built and maintained radios, aerials and had a business repairing CRT televisions when he moved to Australia. His home electronics workshop was the most magical and inspiring place to me as a child, still the memory lives on in me as an adult. I was extremely luck to get to meet the man, when I was a boy he gave me some meccano & then later a HAM radio reviver. Sadly growing up I was too fixated on video games and computers to really appreciate it at the time.

When he passed away I was lucky enough to inherit some of his electronics components, some of which I've photographed for posterity which you can find on this page. I actually do use some of these components in my prototypes and even finished projects on occasion.
